So my SO's video game playing resulted in multiple blood clots in his right lung and one in his leg. He went in to the ER on Thursday and they told him it was muscle spasms and to drink water. Last night he couldn't breathe at all and had to drive himself to the ER again (I was out of town taking my step sister to her volleyball practice). He almost wrecked the car 3 times because he was so weak and he couldn't breathe. He got to the ER and they gave him a CT scan and saw the clot in his lung. They gave him morphine and started an IV with blood thinner. They rushed him to a better hospital and did a ton of tests to see if its a clotting disease or some other disorder and he'll get the results back tomorrow. He can barely breathe and keeps having spasms. It hurts him to talk and he's on Beefeater and on a liquid diet. I'm so unbelievably scared. I'm also so blessed that I have great family because my dad is watching the baby and keeping him overnight, otherwise I wouldn't be able to be here with him. I do miss my little monster, and this is the first time I'll be away from him overnight.

Re: SO's in the ICU.. :(
omg how scary, I'm so sorry! I hope things progress well and quickly for all of your sakes.
How does the video game playing play in though, or were you being sarcastic? Either way, sending my very best thoughts to him and all of you. Hang in there babe.
Okay, first poster, was that all you got from the OP?
Anyway, so sorry to hear that! I hope he'll be okay and I'll keep your family in my prayers.
I hope he's okay! Sending T&Ps for a smooth recovery.
How did his video game playing cause this? Just curious.

OMG, that is so scary! Wow, it makes me want to have a conversation with my DH, who plays computer games all day long when he is off work. I'm sure if I tell him about this, he'll blow it off, but I never knew this could happen and I want to have a conversation with him anyway about how much time he still spends playing games even now that DS is here.
I hope your hubby gets well soon. Thank goodness he was in such good shape to begin with or it could have been much worse. Please keep us posted.
