I've been feeling kind of campy since the middle of the night last night, but no spotting. I wonder if it is cause I am a bit constipated? Anyone think I should call the doc? I have an ultrasound on Thursday.
cramping is normal during all of pregnancy... if it's horribly painful - then it's not normal, but typical "period cramps" are normal.
at 8 weeks there isn't anything a doc could do if something were wrong - so i'd just drink some water, rest up, and only call if the pain is really bad.
I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.
I had painful cramping that started right around 4 weeks. It lasted consistently until week 6. I still get it on occasion but its not very frequent now. My doctor was not concerned in the slightest. I've never had any spotting.

i cramped a lot first tri and still have random cramps....they do feel like period cramps early on! there is a lot going on in there so it's par for the course but if something is conceding you i am all for calling the doc!! feel better!
I too had a good bit of cramping early on. The doc said it was my body telling me to slow down. Besides that, not to worry. Drink lots of water, get plenty of rest, and try not to worry about things.

I agree that it's normal early one, but if you have spotting or it's too painfull go in. Just sit down and put your feet up, and drink lots of water.
good luck!
