You're Still Knocked Up?!...

I hear that question (ok, well more along the more polite lines of "You're still pregnant?") EVERY single time I leave the house. And quite frankly, it's getting a little more than annoying. I know people are just anxious to have LO here, but, HELLO!, don't you think I'm a little more anxious (and UNCOMFORTABLE) than you?

I really want to just come back with a smart comment and say, "No, I'm just as fat as a cow and left the baby in the bathtub so I could run some errands."  And the hard thing is, we live in a very small community so I know, almost, everybody. So it's very hard to just grin and bear it, but I do. Oh well, only seven days or less to go with the annoying comments. :)

Just a little rant from a tired, uncomfortable, crampy, pelvic pressure overloaded Mom.  :) And it makes me feel a little better knowing that I'm not the only one going through this. Stick out tongue

  • Def can relate! On my due date (Feb 21st) everything blew up. My phone was ringing, texts were rolling in and facebook posts galore. So I dealt with all the questions and I was fine. However, Wed when people were asking me if the baby arrived my snarky side came out and I posted that unless I text, call, email or post anything on fb pls refer to haveyouhadthatbabyyet.com. I think I only managed to make a few people mad with that but at this point I can't stand being asked about when's he coming or how are you feeling. I have enough anxiety about wondering when it's going to happen without 45 million people breathing down my neck. *mini vent over*

I would have! LOL! I know they're just anxious, but c'mon! Have a little decency and control your verbal outbursts so I can control my emotional outbursts! :)

Haha! I love that you had the guts to post that! And you're exactly right about having anxiety about your own body without a million people's concerns about it. Gah! Oh well, sooner or later LO has to come and I know my emotions will be in check again (at some point), then people may be a little less annoying about the pregnancy remarks and a little more annoying with the newborn advice. LOL! Best of luck to you!
