William III was born February 22, 2012 at 2:45 a.m. weighing 6 lbs 5.8 oz and 18 inches long. We were scheduled to be induced February 29th but he decided to come on his own time which was awesome.
I had worked an 11 hr shift because I had a deadline the following day. That day I spent time talking to HR and my doctor's office getting everything in order for my leave. Well when I got home around 7:15 p.m I wanted to get this done so DH and I started putting the swing together. I was sitting on the couch looking at the manual and he was putting it together when all of a sudden I felt a pop and a burst of water. I said "my water just broke!" DH said "stop playing!" lol I stood up and my mucus plug and all covered the couch and floor. I ran to the restroom called the doctor and the grand parents. My mom lives a hour away so I told her to hurry and hit the highway so she would make it in time. I felt so icky from the mucus and everything so I took a quick shower and then we headed out. (if I would have stayed at work any longer it would have broke at work
)
DH was sooooo nervous and excited at the same time. I was having to tell him to calm down! lol But we got to the hospital and my contractions didnt start until I stepped out the car. I had back labor and I was screaming for the epi! They stuck me 7 times (all while having contractions) trying to get an IV in me. So needless to say I was being a total b****!!! I was positive for strep B so they were trying to give me antibiotics asap. Well we finally got a ICU nurse to come up and she got it on the first try. Once i had it in and they got blood and everything I was able to get the epi which was a gift from God! I could still feel pressure but all the pain had went away, I felt like a new woman lol they check me and I was dialted to 2, about an hour later I was at a 9 and 100% effaced and they called the doctor because he was coming.
Baby Will came within 8 pushes! He is healthy and we left the hospital and are safe at home. I really enjoyed sharing this life changing experience with you ladies! I wish you all the best of luck with your little ones ![]()
