We're in a small town so you have to drive everywhere, we're about ten minute drive to 2 different parks that are in our town.

How often do you go to the park with LO?

5 minute walk (with a Dunkins about 3 minutes into that walk!) We go there at least daily, sometime more. I love our town park. I now feel like i can't walk by the swings without letting LO go in for a while. He has started to anticipate it when we get close.

We live in walking distance of several parks and would go every day if weather permitted. There is nothing like fresh air for babies and toddlers, just makes every one happier... And sleepier!

I wish I lived closer and was able to walk there, I really feel like I would go more often, I know a ten minute drive isn't that far but she still naps so often. Hope to go more this summer for sure.

We have a really nice big park they just finished last summer when I was preggo, it is about a 5 minute or so drive (too far to walk across busy streets)... we've never taken DS, but I can't wait for the warmer weather! They also have a splash pad so you better believe we will be hitting it this summer!!

We have a children's park and adjacent dog park about 4 streets away. I've taken DD there before, but just to sit and people watch. Today we went on the swings for the first time and she LOVED it!

There's a bigger park that is about a 10 minute walk. We've gone to that one before too, but I think it'll be better for when she's older.

We have a big park in the middle of our neighborhood. It's about a 10 minute walk from our house. We haven't been since the cold weather started but will be back at it as soon as it warms up.

We're actually right next door to the park. It's literally 10 feet away...the big huge grassy part, anyway. The playground is less than a mile.

When the weather is nice (april - october), we're there 3-4 times a week. When we're not there, we're at another park where son plays little league 3-4 nights per week in the summer.

It's wonderful to have something so close. The kids can play for a long time outside and we don't have to worry about purchasing/putting together/maintaining/storing playthings in our back yard.

ETA: DD2 has been to the park next door 5 times since she was born and the ball park probably 20 times in the couple months after she was born. We're in the midwest, so we haven't had the greatest "outdoor" weather the last several months.

DS has never been to a park, but after reading your post about Mason watching the other kids play, I might have to start taking him.

I complain about my house, but what I absolutely adore is the surroundings - both the property around it and all of the buffer we have. There's a gorgeous little clearing at the back of the yard where I use to take DS to walk around when he was tiny and absolutely inconsolably tired. He'd just stare up at the big trees and fall asleep. I'm looking for a bench now to put back there and use this spring.

So he's never been to the park, but he rarely gets a day without some major outside time. The poor kid was stuck in his stroller some today while I was pruning bushes, but we went for a couple of walks too.

We live in a condo, and there's a playground/park in our development. There's also a park across the street from our house. We've been once, when DD was really young, but since then it's been too cold.

Mason (and his mama) go absolutely stir crazy without fresh air. Believe me when i say that although we have had a mild winter compared to usual, we have still had ridiculously cold weather. I still brought him for a walk most days, even in the snow. We would use a warm outfit (fleece maybe) with some form of snowsuit (we literally have at least 8 in different levels if warmth that were handed down to us). I would then add a hat and throw a bundle me on the stroller. He was probably close to overheated if anything. But some outdoor time would resolve most meltdowns. The only days that I kept him in were when the wind was too strong on cold days. I didn't want to freeze his little nose off.

We have a park about a block away. We try to go everyday! We didn't stay very long today though because it was windy.

We are also in a small town and there is a park within a 5 minute walk from our house. We go a few times a month in this cold weather, but once the weather warms up we will go all the time.

We live close-ish (10 minutes by car) to a few shady parks (shady=creepy, not tree-laden), but the nicer ones are about 25 mins away. We have only been twice, but I hope to go more when the weather gets nicer.
