Ok, so this is a just a vent. My MIL, who is wonderful, is watching DD at our house while I'm at work (part time). She does a great job, and even sweeps and does some light cleaning for us. She has offered to help with the laundry now. So DH gave her some sheets and towels the other day. So last night I did a load of delicates. I put them in the dryer this morning before I left for work (our laundry room is in the garage.) When I came home after work, all of my underwear is folded and laying on the kitchen table. Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate that my MIL is willing to help out in so many ways, and it really is a big help. But I kinda draw the line at my underwear! I just feel like I have no privacy in my own home. Sorry just had to vent!!!

    I'm sorry that you have an uncomfortable situation.  it can be tough to feel like your home isn't yours...I would probably let anyone who was willing to do my laundry fold my underwear at this point, though, if it meant all of the housework was caught up. LOL.  Plus, I lost all modesty in the delivery room, I think.

    Mine got loose in my house one time alone and folded my underwear and "straightened" up my bathroom. She's not great and I don't appreciate her "help". But I totally agree- my drawers don't belong in mil's hands!

    Ooof! I hear that!

    My mom is going to be watching LO at our house one day and week, and volunteered to do the same type of thing. I told her she can certainly wash baby clothes, but I would take care of ours. I don't need my mom  handling my dirty underwear.

    I was actually in the exact same situation my first month back at work.  I was part time and MIL was watching B in our home.  She started doing the laundry becuase she was bored when he napped.

    I just started making sure my dirty undies were hidden in the bedroom. That way I wouldn't find them folded oh so neatly on the couch!

     I made dh let her know....no laundry. She did this when I came home from the hospital...its just uncomfortable!

    My MIL usually does our laundry because she comes over to do my grandma in law's.

    At first, it made me uncomfortable but at this point, I love having my laundry done and folded. 

    I would never have a chance to do laundry if she didn't help us.

    I can understand why you're uncomfortable though.

    You know, my first thought was who cares as long as it gets done, and better yet you don't have to do it. But on second thought, I would rather almost anyone else handle my underwear. But my MIL never does anything even remotely domestic, so no worries.

    Not sister's MIL takes baskets of laundry to HER house unknowingly to my sister. She'll bring baskets.of washed clothes home and there are ALWAYS clean undies in it LOL!
