I've never felt the need to post on brag day, which is why I am posting today. DS is nonverbal and is 2.5 y/o. We've known he is a very visual person, but had no idea what he was capable of until yesterday. He completely mastered with no help a 24 piece puzzle. It was just amazing to watch him work on this puzzle with so much patience and determination. We just started him on more than 8 piece puzzles based on the recommendation of our SLP. We also have seen great improvement with using a visual schedule. We got his diagnosis on Jan 6, and since then we haven't had much to celebrate and have felt like we are constantly fighting an uphill battle with insurance companies, getting therapy, figuring out school, etc.
I just had to share our happy moment of the week!
Re: Brag day.....thursday?! (ASD related)
That is wonderful! I love when our children surprise us like this.
Maybe, since he seems to enjoy and excel at puzzthe during therapy?
