Other u/s?

I had my NT scan last week, and everything looked good. The u/s itself was fun because it took awhile and I got to see the baby wiggle around. DH couldn't be there, and I've been wondering if I will have another u/s like it so that he can see the baby like I did?

You will have the anatomy scan done at about 18-22 weeks. That is when they check all the organs/bones/etc of the baby. You can also find out the sex at that time if you are interested.

I got an elective u/s done too at 17 weeks to find out the sex actually. We found a local 3d/4d u/s place that will do sex determination as early as 16 weeks, it was $79 and in a very nice setting. You could take your whole family actually, they had a huge big screen and couches, etc.

Is that similar to the NT scan? I mean in the sense that I got to watch it on a TV screen, etc?

I am having my level II a/s tomorrow and yes, they show it on a screen so you can see it. All of my u/s's have been that way.

I have had 4 u/s so far, though I didn't do the NT scan and got to to see the baby at all 4.

The first 2 at my RE's off they had TV monitor on the wall that allowed me to watch the u/s and see the baby (or course wasn't much to see at 7 & 8 weeks).

The 2 u/s I had at my OB I have also gotten to see the baby on the screen. They don't have a seperate wall monitor, but they have the machine set up in a way that I could easily see the screen the entire time.

I am looking forward to our a/s because DH hasn't been able to go to any of my u/s since the one at 7 weeks. My OB also has a 3d/4d machine in office and they switch it over to that for a little while for you at no charge.

My DH travels a lot for work. I plan on using my video camera (or phone if I forget) so he can see all that happens. Maybe do that if he cannot come to the next one?

Must be exciting to see all of that movement!
