Ok... we're changing.

I found a place with stunning recommendations.  She starts on March 1.  I am excited for her, but more than that I am just sad that we are having to leave the place that she started at.  I wish they would just fix it so we could stay, but they won't, so I know we have to move on.

I seriously am so nervous I feel like throwing up, but I do think we'll all be happier with the new place.  I just don't handle change well, especially when it comes to the most important thing in my life.  

Beer me strength!

    I know change is hard. I had DD at the same home daycare for 4 years and followed the lady after she moved too. DS was with the same lady for a year before I had to change his daycare and I was so nervous. What I have learned is that kids adjust to change so much better than we give them credit for.

    I was soooooo nervous when I took Megan out her daycare at 8 months (to be home with our nanny) sooooo nervous. I knew it was the right thing to do but I was nervous about leaving, about telling them, and even though I knew there was something better for my child and family I still felt this loyalty to where she was.  Just wanted to say I get it, and I'm pretty sure a lot of that nervousness was gone after I told them or maybe it was after I told them and then came home and had a beer ;-)

    That is so funny, they were serving milk at the new day care in those little mugs when I went to visit yesterday.

    SO Glad you found a place you're happy with. That rules all. Sucks and sad that you have to leave her first daycare, but it's their own fault - in no way yours.

    This probably doesn't help but DD is now at her 3rd daycare and I freaked out both times I had to switch her but I couldn't keep her at the daycares she was in due to the issues I was having with them.  I totally was freaking out way more than she did and she adjusted just fine.  It took her maybe a week and she was so much happier, she will do great!
