Bra issues..

I'm just sitting here at my desk, looked down my shirt as I was reaching for a scone crumb (dont judge! lol) and saw that my bra is digging into me so badly. I think I'm going to need to ditch the underwire soon.

I'm not massive, I'd say comfortably a 38 C right now. Anyone have any good comfy bra recommendations? TIA!

Re: Bra issues..

  • I went to Kohl's and got a wire-free Playtex with the gel straps and it's soooo comfortable! I had to try on a few because some of the styles gave me cone-boob, but the search was worth it. They may not be pretty, but they're oh so comfy!

  • You might not want to completely abandon underwire.  If the bra is properly fitted, it shouldn't hurt or dig.  I was having the same problem, until I got fitted at a lingerie store.  I was wearing the complete wrong size.  It was like night and day.

Most people are wearing too small of a cup size and too large of a chest size.  You might want to try a 36D or get professionally measured.

  • I got measured at Motherhood, I went from a 34B to a 36C and the bra I bought was an underwire. I don't know if you're going to breastfeed but it also has the clasp for that. I love it, it's honestly one of the most comfortable bras I've ever had, and it only cost me $20

I couldn't agree with this more, however, be careful where you go! I was fitted at a lingerie store before I had a breast reduction. I was a 32DD and they told me I was a 34C. I laughed at them but let them show me some bras and sure enough when I tried them on, I would have needed two more c cups to fit all the boob that was hanging out.

  • Its tough because my left is like, a whole cup bigger than my right. So while around it might be tight, when I size up it feels all wrong. Ugh! I was fitted at a lingerie store, bought the bras and they felt great! I only got it in December... I think my weight gain may be hitting my midsection. Sad

  • My bras are beginning to dig into my back. I just got wider on my rib cage, so I think I am now a 34A instead of a 32A...

  • That happened to me too =( I went and bought a new bra yesterday.
  • I have really liked a wire-free style from Bali. The straps are a little wider and have some padding. The cups are well-lined, and the style comes in several colors (including a teal that I really wanted!). I bought 2 at Kohl's back in October, and I found a good sale on them at Belk's Saturday so I bought 2 more (one in the next cup size so I have room to grow).
