Is anyone here not using an infant carrier carseat and just using convertible? I'm wondering if the hospital is going to give us crap about just walking out w/ the kiddo. I've learned how to use the Moby and am taking it w/ me. Just wondering how others are doing it.
Re: Carseat question
I don't think your hospital will stop you from taking your baby in your arms unless they have a policy that checks car seats. Our birthing center does car seat checks to make sure babies are buckled in properly, but besides that I carry LO everywhere--so much easier since she is so light and the car seat is on the bigger side!
hmm...well, im not bringing the convertible up. I suppose they can come out to the car to check it and check her in there. I had it installed by a police officer who was all certified and shiz. making me take it out would just defeat all that.
We used a convertible with DS1.
it's my hospital's policy that mom doesn't walk out, I was in a wheelchair with the baby. A nurse took us to the exit and waited with us while DH pulled up the car.
She left after we put DS into the car seat.
