Detergent is causing rash

The rash that Becca has had for like 2 months now? I finally figured out that it started around when we got our new washer and dryer and switched to HE version of Biokleen

So now I have to figure out what detergent to use that won't cause my child to look like she's wearing Rash Red underwear :(

Re: Detergent is causing rash

  • I've been using Bio Pac since I started cd'ing and haven't had any bad reactions/buildup problems.  It wasn't rated anywhere on the cd websites, so I decided to give it a try.  I buy it at the local health food store and it comes in a gallon jug.  I just use a tiny bit in my cd laundry, so it lasts a really long time.  Hope you figure out what is causing the little one to have that reaction :(

  • I switch between Tide HE powder and Crunchy Clean.  The Tide hasn't caused any ill effects on the diapers and infact, keeps the ammonia smell far away from my microfiber.

  • i ordered CC diaper detergent in Monkey farts. in the mean time I guess we're just going to use disposables :(
  • well i'm glad you go to the bottom of it!  you'll love CC!
  • I just feel so bad that it took me so long to figure it out! Poor little tooshie

I have the regular CC and I love it. It's all we use for our stuff. My DH wanted me to use up the Biokleen before getting any diaper CC though. Ha. Not anymore!
