Book rave: I am a bunny

I bought this (board) book as in impulse buy at B&N.  Everyone at home loves it!  I love the illustration; the plants are realistic (meaning the dogwood tree has appropriate flowers, leaves, bark & shape). My husband loves the story (it's basically about being outside in different seasons).  I'm not sure what Sprout likes about it, but it's the only book he'll let us read to him right now (and he wants it 3x in a row)

I know ppl occasional ask for children's books recs & I figured I'd throw this one out there.  Additionally, if you celebrate Easter, it would make a cute gift for a kid.

  • I had that book when I was a kid! I think my parents still have it at their house.

  • This post makes me smile.  We had this growing up and my mom got it for us when DD#1 was born.  It became a classic bedtime book for her until she moved on to her princess stage, and now we read it to DD#2.  So glad others enjoy it too.
  • My Mom got this for DD at the used bookstore, she loves it!  Another great spring one is "It's Spring"  - they both get multiple reads at our house.
  • Richard Scarry's illustrations are really beautiful. We have his "Best Story Book Ever" and I love the illustrations...plus, the stories are so fun for me since I read them all when I was a kid.

    Good choice, kastle!!

  • Apparently I was deprived as a child!  I knew this was an older book but I had no idea it was so popular!

  • This was O's very favorite book for the first 1.5 years...and it is still a welcomed read any day.  I love it, too!  It's so quaint.
