I just seen something on the news about a sleeper having a razor in the foot of it and the baby of course got injured by it. I just walked in on the end of it.
Why someone would do that is beyond me. We wash all of DS's clothing before he wears them and I wonder if a razor blade would withstand the washer/dryer or if it would fall out.

I just said that exact thing. I always wash DS's too.
Yikes thats crazy! I'm glad that baby is ok and I hope she doesn't get an infection. I also hope that it was an accident and someone didn't do that intentionally.

I always wash first, and I always check for rips or split seams in store before buying.

DH has a TERRIBLE habit of leaving razor blades in his pockets from work. They are the straight-edged kind and when he puts them into his pockets they have the paper wrapping around the blade. I can't tell you how many times I've opened the washer and had these in the rubber ring of our front loader. Needless to say, I wash his work shorts separate from the rest of the laundry.
So... to answer the question... unless the sleeper is fully zipped, I would venture to bet that the blade would agitate out of the foot of a sleeper. If fully zipped, I would bet it would stay somewhere in the sleeper, then move (back) to the foot in the spinning of the dryer.
