How long did you wait?

To DTD again? Did you wait the full 6 weeks? I had no tearing, and am feeling pretty awesome lately.

I am only 2w2d PP so I'm not planning on trying anything for a couple weeks, not to mention I'm waiting until the bleeding has completely subsided, but I don't think I'm gonna wanna wait the full 6 weeks.

I had my follow up at five weeks and was given the go ahead as my stitches were healed and I had no bleeding. We tried it as soon as we got home from the doctor and it was really good. I was really afraid after things I saw on here, but we used a condom and extra lube which I think helped. I suggest lots of lube and go slow until it feels comfortable.

We waited just under 3 weeks but I had an uncomplicated c section and my bleeding had stopped several days prior. We waited over 8 weeks after DS1 was born bc I had a lot of vaginal trauma.

I had my 6 wk appointment on Monday, the day before DD turned 7 weeks. I was told I needed to wait a couple more weeks as I still have one stitch just inside. I would have had no idea it was there, but my doc told me that waiting was a good idea. However, DH and I have been doing other things for the last few weeks with no issues.

I tore badly so I'm pretty terrified. I'm only three weeks pp so no where near ready.

We did it at two weeks. I was feeling the urge and so was DH.

We did at 3 weeks and it was awesome but I had a tear that wasn't completely healed and it hurt pretty bad too. So we waited a couple more weeks and started again at 5 weeks pp each time it hurt less and now it's almost back to normal.

We did it at around 2 weeks. My bleeding had stopped, I didn't have any tearing, and I hadn't been sore since 4 days pp, so I felt I was ready.

I had a second degree tear, two stiches, and was cleared 4 weeks PP. Same as others say, go slow and lots of lube. If one position is uncomfortable, try a different one. SOMEthing will usually work.

I had a second degree tear and lots of stitches. I was cleared at 6 wks and it hurt, a lot. We haven't done it since because I bled a bit after the first time. We will probably try again soon but I was pretty uncomfortable and it did not feel good.

Haha, 6w pp here and it is so not happening! My pp check up isn't until March 1st so we are waiting until then at least...it will have to be sponteneous because the idea of it is NOT appealing! Call me crazy :P

We did at 4 weeks. I had the desire from about a week out, but obviously I wasn't doing anything until bleeding had stopped! Around here though they don't say to wait 6 weeks, they just say "wait until bleeding has stopped and you are ready". My doctor didn't even check me at all at my 6 week appointment. She asked how I was feeling, asked if she needed to check me and since I'm feeling great (and have been since about 3 days pp) and have had no issues with anything I said I was ok without a check.

No desire what so ever. I had a c section 7 weeks ago and have gone back to my pre pregnancy ways of hating sex and everything to do with it. I wanted my doctor to write me a note saying I should abstain for one year (so I could show my husband) but she wouldn't so now I just make excuses... Fun times, a little depressing. My poor dh.

I agree

I don't think it's normal to "hate" sex. Is there a particular reason, emotional or physical, that you dislike it so much?

I had a lot of pushing and then a c-section so have been letting myself heal and recover from being sore. I just had my 6-wk dr. checkup and everything went well. She cleared me for all physical activity and gave me a new script for birth control pills. She asked if I had my first period yet (I`m not breastfeeding anymore due to health reasons) and I said no. Well - the next day (!) my period started! So we still haven`t DTD!

I am 5 week pp and there is no way I am doing it anytime soon - I had a horrible tear - inside and out - and it is still sore to sit upright - I think it will be a good three or four months to I feel even close to doing it. The sad thing is I was high risk with my pregnancy so DH was too scared to do anything while I was pregnant - so it will probably be close to a year by the time we did it - since the last time - so sad but we waited so long for our miracle - so worth it.

I'm waiting until at least my 6 week appointment. I pushed for 3+ hours and then had a C-Section, so I'm still pretty sore.
