Pregnant after 35

f/u to peri visit

I double checked with my OB's office - and not the peri's as the receptionist was a dolt who couldn't figure out what my appt was for - and was told that the test WAS for RH neg blood because I had some weird antibody in my blood at the time at testing. As my OB said it was fine to skip, we did.

Actual 16 week appt is tomorrow and will schedule AFP then.

And I feel much calmer now :)

What's  up with all the stupidity at the doctors lately?  I am glad that you got to skip it though and that you are calmer.  That's always good!
I know, right? This girl was like, "it's a, um, AB something. Something your doctor ordered. I don't know." WTF? Thanks for the clarification.

And this is the main local peri, so what happens if someone needs help understanding GD, PIH or something serious? I know  she's not the doctor or tech, but come on!

  • At a minimum she should have put you on hold and found someone to answer your question!  I don't remember if you mentioned this or not, but are you finding out the sex?

Seriously. Bless you guys for dealing with this nonsense. The worst I've had to endure was my OB's office forgetting to call and cancel an appt when doc was in surgery. Glad you're feeling calmer!

THis! I know the  person who answers the phones are "receptionists" not doctors, but they should still be informed and helpful.  :-Z  grrrr.
