Best: 12 hour shifts so I have a lot of days off. Great benefits. I like my coworkers. I've learned a lot at my job.
Worst: 12 hour shifts. I run my butt off at work and have to take a lot of orders from ungrateful people. Poop...literally. I deal with a lot of unpleasant bodily functions.
Let me guess: are you a nurse?? And are the ungrateful people doctors, by chance? The only reason I ask is because I used to work in the dental field and had to deal with cranky, ungrateful dentists all day long.
Best: I work at an awesome hospital! I work 12 hour shifts, so I only work 3 days a week to be considered full time!
Worst: The 12 hour shifts are rotating. There's no rhyme or reason to my schedule, so I have a really hard time getting on a schedule. Also, I really hate night shifts! It screws with my temping schedule!

I know exactly how you feel! They never told us in nursing school about the rude docs, patients, or those unpleasant bodily functions!

Best: Hours (8 am-3 pm) and all holidays. I make my own schedule within the day. I get to help people (students, teachers and parents) all day long and I think I'm really good at what I do (at least that's what people lead me to believe).
Worst: I work in a very dangerous neighborhood. I hate having to call Child Protection Services (even though I know the outcome is usually beneficial). My supervisor sucks.
Best: 12 hour shifts so I have a lot of days off. Great benefits. I like my coworkers. I've learned a lot at my job.

Nursing assistant and unit coordinator at a hospital. When I'm working on the floor, it's my patients that are ungrateful. When I work as unit coordinator, it is the doctors that are ungrateful. They can be so mean!
I'm sorry you have to deal with that. I know how doctors/ dentists can be. It's actually the reason I don't work in the dental field any longer.
Best: I have one of the best co-workers in the world. I have learned so much from her. I get a considerate amount of pay and really enjoy helping my customers.
Worst: I am soon looking to take a pay decrease and will have to work MORE hours. But, my job title will not change.
Best: Normal Hours! And no nights, weekends, or holidays ever again! (Biggest change from when I was an RN). Also, I have every other Friday off, which is awesome.
Worst: Extremely busy schedule and frequently seeing some really sad situations (working in a clinic for underserved population)

Best: I have my own office, the work is relatively stress-free, no block on FB or TB, can listen to Howard Stern streaming all day long!
Worst: everything else I'm envious of those who say they love their job because I've been really miserable and bored in my current position. I have no interest in the field at all. Boo.
Best: I like my coworkers, and I get to work with children of all ages. I can dress however I want (within reason). There's a fair amount of opportunity to move up if you work hard.
Worst: The hours are variable, and I have to work Saturdays. Also, the pay is pretty lousy.
Best: I have awesome hours (M-Th 9-4, Fri 9-12), co-workers/bosses, benefits, flexibility, work from home sometimes & love that every day is a little different.
Worst: The pay (for now) and that even though I have set hours, I'm also loosely available almost around the clock for different things my bosses need. And sometimes I have to do some really stupid/weird stuff too. Most recently: Shipping 216 pounds of luggage to and from Palazzo in Vegas because it wouldn't fit on the private jet. Now that sounds like a first world problem for sure!!
Overall though I really love everything about my job, just wish I could make some more money.
Best: Flexibility, the ability to wear jeans (and sometimes yoga pants), they pay 80% of my truck payment and 100% of my personal fuel.
Worst: I have to travel, a lot. I put 41,000+ miles on my truck in the last year. I hate being away from my family.
I'm a safety supervisor for bridge construction company that serves the oil & gas industry.
I am jealous of the fact that you can wear yoga pants to work. I work in the insurance industry, so it's business attire for me
Also jealous of the yoga pants! I wear jeans occasionally which is nice. I do wear yoga pants one day a year...the day of our annual awards show/dinner while I'm setting up. T-minus 16 days until the big event!
Best: 12 hour shifts so I have a lot of days off. Great benefits. I like my coworkers. I've learned a lot at my job.

I'm a SAHM right now, but I'll answer this for my career that I've put on hold for now.
Best: Helping people either with pain or mobility issues in a tangible way.
Worst: There are some aspects of my job that not every patient likes. Like my obligation to all payer sources do the best I can to find the most economical solution that meets medical necessity.
Best: 12 hour shifts so I have a lot of days off. Great benefits. I like my coworkers. I've learned a lot at my job.

Best: I get to stay home all day with my three year old son! We can go to the park when it's nice and have movie days when it's not. I taught him letters, number, etc. it's been so fun! I became a SAHM about 7 months ago and the bond I have with him now is so awesome!
Worst: No sick days, holidays, or vacation days. I never clock out and leave it at the office. I can't pee by myself, POAS by myself. And DS is in speech therapy and sometimes I am the only one that understands/interprets.
I don't want you to misunderstand, it is the best job in the word and i feel so blessed but it can be difficult at times.
"Always remember there was nothing worth sharing like the love that let us share our name"
Best: I get to work with animals, which I love. I love the majority of my coworkers and have made some really good friends after only working at my job for 5 months. I also love my boss, she's one of the best bosses I've had throughout my entire working career. Another plus, there's always someone there to make me laugh and someone there to listen to me bitching.
Worst: Rude customers. The amount of impatience people have. Cleaning up pee and poop (but hey, that comes with working with animals). Crazy animals and the possibility of being bitten or hurt by some of them.
ETA: I'm a Customer Service Rep at an animal boarding facility.

Worst: Can be stressful, time restrictive, takes up weekends and holidays
Best: Pay and the fact I'm working part time to go to college for a career that has nothing to do with my job now. They're basically letting me stay until I start full time clinicals.
Worst: No holidays other than Christmas and Turkey Day and benefits aren't worth much. I get no time for maternity leave or short term disability if I need it since I am part time. (Not that the maternity leave is mattering right now lol)
Best - i get to meet interesting people, celebrities, do cool things, tell cool stories, travel, see or be a part of amazing moments, it's always different, it's taken me to some amazing places
Worst - insane hours, some days i can get in at 6am and not leave until 11pm, always changing, travel a lot even if it's not convenient, fast-paced and very intense, little time off

Worst: Long hours during tournament season. Late nights. Annoying parents. I'm outside all winter. Lots of traveling. Always planning for class.
There are days I hate it, but I really do love my job.

Labored at freestanding birth center using hypnobirthing techniques
Best: I work alone for the majority of my shift and therefore pretty much do whatever I please with nobody annoying me. I get to bake things and make donuts, which is something I truly love doing.

Best: I get to wear yoga pants with a hoodie or track jacket everyday, I love my regulars, I work M-F 5:30am-10am so DD stays home with SO and does't have to go to daycare and I get a free gym membership.
Worst: The pay sucks, SO works 10 hour days starting at 11am so I only really see him 3 days a week, the structure at the gym recently changed so I have to sell memberships now and I HATE selling, I don't have time to use my free gym membership unless I come in on my day off
I work at the front desk for a large gym chain in Canada
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have
Best: I love my 2nd grade students! They are hilarious and literally make me laugh 20 times a day. I also love my co-workers and have a wonderful, supportive principal.
Worst: NY state has decided on a new evaluation system for teachers. Most of our evaluation will be based standardized testing scores of our students. Of course that makes sense because all kids learn the same way, have a wonderful home life, and love taking tests! UGH!

Best: My Kindergarteners are amazing! They are funny and cute and they have learned so much this year. 5-6 year olds make the best co-workers. The moment I can see they've learned something new makes my job worthwhile. The holidays and summers off don't hurt either
Worst: My paycheck While it could be worse, I could use some more $$$!! Also, most parents are wonderful, but there are some that are looking for a fight and act as if teachers are against their children for no reason! Trust me, we want them all to succeed and behave!
Worst is the commute (1 hour sometimes more, have to bus in to downtown then I'm stuck down here all day so it makes doc appts and such difficult). The job itself is pretty uninteresting too.
The best is the pay - I make a decent salary with a nice bonus and profit sharing plan. That has been what's made it the hardest to leave, I can't find anywhere that will pay me near what I make now.
