ew- burst ear drum!

Of the million and one ear infections DD has had, this is a first!  She had tubes put in at 15 months and the ear infections essentially stopped, but she got a nasty one night before last.  I took her to the dr and started oral antibiotics yesterday, but her ear drum ruptured over night.  Talk about nasty!  Not a big deal in the long run, but we have to do anti-biotic ear drops now, too.  She feels much better because the pressure is gone, but it was a little creepy to wake up to half her head being matted with blood and ick.

    Oh my goodness!  So gross and weird!  I am so glad there isn't a big recovery from it.  Poor kid.

    That happened to me as a kid too. And one time (before tubes), ds's doctor said she thought he would feel so much better if his did rupture because it had so much pressure (but it never did). Hope she feels better soon!
