We found out yesterday we're having a girl, which of course is the side of names we can't decide on lol. I came across Hayley today, WDYT?
Note: I wouldn't use the spelling Hailey because my maiden name is Hails and that's too close of a spelling for my tastes.
Other names were considering : Emily, Ashley, Adrianna, Audrey. MN will be Iris.
Re: Thoughts on the name Hayley?
I don't like Hailey at all (no matter how it's spelled). It's not the worst name ever, I just don't think it's that great. It's a little cutesy, too.
Have you considered Hadley? It's more old-fashioned than Hailey, but I like it much better.
From the other names you listed, the one I liked best was Audrey. Audrey Iris is darling.
not a haylet fan at all
love adrianna
Not a big fan of Hailey
y fave from your list is Audrey
This.
I dislike Hailey even if spelt correctly, but especially dislike that extra y you have in there - sorry. Out of your choices, Audrey is by far the best, IMO. Emily would be my second choice.
Good luck!
My cousin is Haley because it is our grandmother's maiden name. She was born in the early 1980s way before it was the mega-hit it has become. To me, it's definitely one of those names that has no single correct spelling (like Kaylee). In your shoes, I would spell it Hailey specifically in honor of my maiden name. I'm also partial to Haley, the simplest form. I don't like the extra Y in the middle or any of the elaborations like Hayleigh, or Haylie.
Unlike everyone else, I really don't like Audrey. It just strikes me as very snobby (probably mostly due to personal associations). I love Iris as a first or middle.
I love the name Hayley (preferred spelling Haley). My DD is named Haley, so I'm biased. I also like the alliteration too with your last name. Cute!
