How long does it take for you to put down LO for a nap? Is anyone using a shorter version of your nighttime routine to get LO ready for a nap and does this seem to help?
Right now it takes anywhere from 15-30 mins to put DS down for a nap and when he only stays asleep 45 mins and then takes 45 minutes to feed it seems like I am trying to put him to sleep for most of his awake time.
I try to read his sleep signs and sometimes they are so apparent but other times I think I let him go to long and he gets overtired.
Re: Another Nap Questions
Its getting shorter, DH was impressed that I got her down in 15 minutes last night. It took me until Monday to realize that if I put her down slightly awake, she goes to sleep and sleeps longer. So now I don't fight her to make sure she's totally out, once she's done nursing and she's started sucking on her hand she goes in the crib.
Naps, I don't always nurse her before naps (I want her to sleep as long as possible for bedtime). But once the hand sucking starts, its upstairs and we rock for a few minutes and she goes into her crib. I really think she sleeps longer when she falls asleep in her crib because when she wakes up, she knows where she is and doesn't freak out that I'm not there holding her.
