I have to ask...

Why do some women on this board insist on posting obnoxious comments to people's simple and benign questions.  To those who do this, does it make you feel better about yourself or are the rest of us just so lost our lives would fall apart without your wise insight?  Perhaps this is just my hormones talking but the rudeness towards others on the eve of their children's birth is really getting to me.

    LOL, I completely know what you mean. I actually had someone get pretty rude with me on the fabric softener post...I try to give the benefit of the doubt and think that some people just have no tact and dont really think about the way their post sounds to others. who knows. Huh?

    I agree with the OP-if you don't have anything nice to say...

    Some people just seem REALLY miserable. I would never want to say/write something on purpose to make someone else feel bad, especially at such a sensitive time in someone's life.

    I think some people are bored at work and like to do things for the entertainment value.

    Well thankfully this is a free country where we can post whatever we want regardless of how much it annoys you.

    With that said, what I said wasn't snarky. I was telling her a fact. These types of things happen (and have been happening) on the Bump forever and no amount of complaining about it is ever going to change the tone of the board. People are going to say what they want to say. So just like she is totally well within her rights to not like it, it is everyone elses right to respond to posts however they want. Sometimes it can be immature and mean, but you just have to let those comments roll off your back. Often threads like this just incite more unwanted drama and arguing. Case in point, the conversation I'm having with you right now.

    This board is actually very tame compared to many others on this site. Go hang out on first tri for a day and third tri will seem like the nicest place ever.
