DH and I need to get away. Can't afford anything fancy (we live in the DC metro area), but I'd love to do something that includes pg-safe fun. Read: obviously roller coasters are out (boo) but something that's more than (but can include!) a BnB stay... any suggestions PAIFers? Thanks!

My brother lives in DC, and when I went to go visit him the most fun I had was going to Baltimore's inner harbor. The national aquarium there is amazing, and I really enjoyed everything there. It's just a train ride away from DC, that might be fun.

Our vacation this year also happens to be a babymoon! We are going to Rehoboth beach for a week. I'm sure you can do that over a weekend, too.
Annapolis is fun. I wish I could remember this one place to stay above a sandwich shop... they were booked at the time we were going, but my cousins that are from Annapolis talk about how great and cheap that place is all the time.
Williamsburg would be fun, too. I haven't been there since I was a kid.

For our babymoon last time around, DH and I went to mount vernon, and stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons. we got a great deal on some bed and breakfast package, spend one day at Mt. Vernon, came back and did a nice dinner out at Tysons, and then spend the night at the Ritz, had breakfast there the next morning, and then walked around the mall the next day.
You could also do a bed and breakfast in annapolis, Baltimore is a fun city to explore (the aquarium is really great!) and there's little italy right across from the inner harbor.
