daycare yuck!

I dropped DS off at daycare and another little guy was playing with a toy and then spit up all over himself, and probably the toy. It was early so there were few kids and the one teacher in the room had to finish up a bottle before taking care of it. Well, of course DS really wanted the toy that he was holding. I moved him to a different part of the room and put his bottles and things away...only to look back and see that he had army crawled back over to the guy and was trying to grab the toy from him again.

I realize that this stuff is happening all day, as at this age kids just go take what they want from whatever slobbering, spit-up covered, snotty kid has it...but I'd rather not see it!

  • Oh EW EW EW. I can only imagine....and the thought TOTALLY skeeves me out! As exciting as it is to see our kids hitting that next "milestone," I'm starting to think that I liked them WAY better when they were immobile! lol

haha - yeah. I do like that he is always smiling at the other babies now and seems to want to be with them (or just wants their toys, whatever). Making some little friends!

  • It completely grosses me out thinking of the exchange of bodily fluids that occurs at daycare daily.  I know my LO is constantly covered in her own drool and putting EVERYTHING in her mouth.  She goes through at least 5 bibs at daycare daily. So, I can only imagine what is going on with the other LO's!

  • Totally agree.  DD drools over everything, grabs everything, then sticks said fingers in mouth and slurps...a perfect recipe (ewww) for sharing germs, drool, etc....so gross, I know it happens, but it is still so gross!!!
