Hello everyone!

I've been lurking around reading your posts. I think adoption is an amazing thing. I was adopted, grew up knowing it, was very fortunate in the life I was given and am a huge supporter of adoption.

I am almost 28. When I was about 19 I began my search for my birth family, hit some road blocks, there were lots of red flags, so I decided to stop. I randomly found my birth family on Facebook a month before my 26th birthday and met them shortly after that.

I've known a ton of kids that went on to meet their birth families. I know that the adoptive parents tend to freak out a bit, worrying about what will happen, will they love their birth family more, etc.

I won't write my whole thing here, but I wanted everyone to know that I am so thankful to be adopted. I am so thankful I met my birth family. I love my adoptive parents so much more that I ever thought I could.

I wanted to let you know, if you have any questions at all, about my experience, growing up, meeting my birth family, my search, please do not hesitate to contact me! I am an open book and would love to talk to you. I know for some people adoption can be scary, but you really are doing something amazing! These children you are adopting are so lucky to have you in their lives!
