2. Can he write his name?
3. How is he doing behaviorally in Preschool/PreK?
4. Does he participate in sports/other activites?
5. What's he into? characters-wise, if any?
6. Does he have friends does he have in class that he is close to?
My answers:
1. Yes, my son can spell his name.
2. No, he cannot write his name. He tried today and that was awesome but it was NTTNH (Nathan). My DD was 3.75 when she learned to write her name.
3. He's had a rough year but lately there seems to be an uptick. He was having major issues at school but the teacher started really standing by some expectations (like gun-ho). A very strict regiment and he seems to be responding. We, at home, didn't have the issues the school was having. It was so frustrating.
4. DS does karate 2x a week. He loves it and love the reinforcement in the class (getting strips)...
5. My son is all over the board lately, he wanted Green Lateran v-day cards, the last toy he purchase (reward $ for finishing a good behavior card) was Power Rangers. He likes the transformers and still like McQueen but not has much as he used to.
6. I heard him talk about 2 boys often (both boys are also in his afterschool program)
Re: Poll on your 4 year old BOY:
Griffin turns 5 on march 30th but i'll answer from this whole year, lol.
1. Can he spell his name? Yes - first and last.
2. Can he write his name? yes, first and last. has been since about 3.5
3. How is he doing behaviorally in Preschool/PreK? good. He gets in trouble now and then for playing too rough- which is what all the boys in his class do... but otherwise he's a really good boy at school and home.
4. Does he participate in sports/other activites? He takes swimming lessons and at school takes an extra soccer class and a dance class (which is really cute - nice boy dances, so funny at the recitals!). He starts "real" soccer this spring in our town with games, etc.
5. What's he into? characters-wise, if any? Super heroes... batman the most- but any super hero.
6. Does he have friends does he have in class that he is close to? Yes- one he's been in daycare with since they were 5mo old - Ryan runs up and hugs Griffin when he gets to class and says" your my bestest buddy!" it's so sweet. I'm so sad they will get spilt when they go to K in the fall (different towns).
1. Yes
2. No. He can write the H, u and o. We are working on it

1. Can he spell his name? Yes (just his first; our last name is somewhat difficult so we'll start working on it soon). Actually, he's quite obsessed with his name right now and spells it constantly and is always looking for the letters in his name in everything. LOL.
2. Can he write his name? Yes
3. How is he doing behaviorally in Preschool/PreK? Pretty well, I think. He had some aggression issues at the beginning of the year, but they have gone away. I haven't heard from his teachers about issues recently, so I assume it's all good.
4. Does he participate in sports/other activites? Not right now. He was doing tumbling before the school year, but now he's in school 4 days/week, so there is little additional time. I don't want to overload him. But I might look into something for the summer.
5. What's he into? characters-wise, if any? Cars, Curious George, Super Why, Dinosaur Train
6. Does he have friends does he have in class that he is close to? Not particularly. His closest friend doesn't go to his school, so we just have outside playdates with him.
1. No, I don't believe he could verbally spell it out....
2. Yes, barely. Which doesn't make sense with my above answer, lol, but that's how it is.
3. He is well behaved for the most part, but spaces out and doesn't always concentrate.
4. He takes dance class twice a week. I keep meaning to start up swimming lessons.
5. He loves all super-heros and his favorites are the biggies of course - Spiderman, Batman, Iron Man, ect. He also likes Transformers. He likes Curious George books.
6. I don't think so. I've just barely got him to start talking about other boys in his class. I've seen kids at schools wave hi/bye to him though, I think he is just slightly oblivious lol and doesnt feel the need to make big friendships right now, although he is VERY social and outgoing. He just seems to be his own person. My BFF's daughter has taken dance class with him the past two years and sometimes they say they are going to get married.
ETA - just his first name. I got sad when I heard they were starting to work on last names because he had enough trouble doing his first name and our last name is much longer.

2. Can he write his name? No
3. How is he doing behaviorally in Preschool/PreK? Conrad will be 4 at the end of April.
1. Can he spell his name?
Yes. He has been able to for about a year.
2. Can he write his name?
He is working on it. If I write it on another piece of paper he can reasonably recreate the letters. Sometimes they end up backwards or upside down though.
3. How is he doing behaviorally in Preschool/PreK?
He has always been very well behaved in public. Preschool is no exception. He saves his worst behavior for when he is in the privacy of his home.
4. Does he participate in sports/other activites?
Not right now, as he hasn't been interested in them. He is going to try out a soccer camp this summer though.
5. What's he into? characters-wise, if any?
He likes Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Sid the Science Kid, Chuggington, LIttle Einsteins, and Word World as far as tv shows go. His favorite characters are probably actually from the Magic Treehouse book series though.
Oh, and Mario and Luigi from Super Mario Bros., because my DH introduced him to video games. ::sigh:: We're probably having a Super Mario Bros. birthday party.
6. Does he have friends does he have in class that he is close to?
He has recently begun talking about a few of the girls in his class, but he's not really friends with any of them. He's still working on figuring out how to make friends. He does have one kid that we met at the rec center that he's currently becoming friends with though.

I love these two beautiful children!
1 &2. Yes, he can spell and write his name.
3. He is in preschool 2 half days a week. He had many rough drop offs and is just getting better about that. He's never had any bad reports and seems to be fine once he's there.
4. He is not enrolled in any other programs right now. In the fall we tried soccer at the Y and he would not participate unless DH or I played along side him - it was not fun. We might try another class (sports) in the next session.
5. He is really all about super heroes - Green Lantern is his favorite. He has most of the Imaginext Batman stuff and loves it. He also loves sports (all), matchbox cars, and Angry Birds.
6. He does talk about kids in class and call one particular boy his friend, but I don't really know how involved he is with the other kids in class. He is pretty shy and a bit socially immature. He does have other peers who we have playdates with outside of school, but he still plays on his own or parrallel most of the time.
DS is 3.5
1. Yes, he can spell his name.
2. Yes, he can write his name. He's rather advanced and has been reading for about 6 months now. He can read the Scholastic Step 1 books independently.
3. Behaviorally, very normal. He is a bit of a tattletale, though and usually wants to be the leader of the group. He listens well to his teacher (not so much at home) and has no sharing issues, which surprises me for an only child.
4. No structured activity yet. We'll be enrolling him in karate as soon as he turns 4. He does have an ear for music and since my DH is a musician, he has been exploring different instruments and is leaning toward the drums. We plan to have music lessons for him in the near future.
5. Superheroes, the classic Universal Studios monsters, the Wizard of Oz and Star Wars are DS's obsession. He has no interest in trucks, trains or cars. Never did.
6. He loves his friends at school. He refers to 2 boys in his class as "his buddies" and talks about them constantly. They are like the Three Amigos.

2. Can he write his name? Yes
3. How is he doing behaviorally in Preschool/PreK? Pretty well - he's one of the younger kids in the class but holds his own. He's relatively outgoing but the teacher has mentioned that he can easily get overwhelmed and forget to use his words during free play if another kid takes something or isn't playing nice. I've noticed that's directly related to how well he slept the night before though so I'm not terribly concerned aside from being concerned about his sleep habits.
4. Does he participate in sports/other activites? Yes - tball and will start independent swim lessons next month
5. What's he into? characters-wise, if any? Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Transformers, Mr. Incredible. Basically if it's a superhero, he digs it. 3. How is he doing behaviorally in Preschool/PreK? He does well, he just got moved up to the next "grade" since he was acting out a bit in the previous room, the director thought it was due to boredom. So far he's been doing really well in his new class.

DS will be 4 in June

2. Can he write his name? Yes. Just the first name so far
3. How is he doing behaviorally in Preschool/PreK? He loves school. He flies under the radar pretty much. Runs with the boys, quiet when he knows he's suppose to. He is best friends with the classes "big kid" who plays a little rough so they get scolded on the play ground for being too rough. He thrives there.
4. Does he participate in sports/other activites? Not yet but in 2 weeks we sign him up for U6 Soccer which he seems pretty excited about. That wont start until August. I will have him in a couple soccer camps over the summer to get him use to it. He also Hikes with my mom on weekends with her hiking group. He does 5 mile hikes all by himself. I'm just amazed at this.
5. What's he into? characters-wise, if any? He LOVES Toy Story, Max and Ruby, Tom & Jerry, Dora, Franklin. Likes video games on Dad's Ipad like Angry Bird. He talks about Superman but I think he got that from the boy's at school because he has never heard of it or seen it at home. Really into animals.
6. Does he have friends does he have in class that he is close to? His Best Friend at school is Cody and I hear him talk about some girls here and there. He has a little boy next door that he just gets along great with and is a year older then him and then his cousin who is 5. They have sleep overs and can't get enough of each other. They even call each other Best Friends which is so cute.
Neither did my DS
