Several of us go to the Columbia Academy. Some locations are better than others. (We go to Kendall Ridge)
Pros - open long hours, rarely closed for holidays/snow (They are open 6:30am - 6:30pm and are closed only on New Year's, MLK, President's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day/day in October, Thanksgiving Day, Xmas, and possibly the day after T-day)
great teachers (though this depends mostly on the location), daily activity sheets of what LO has done/eaten/had diaper changed, progress reports and activities with other kids their age (i.e. within 6 months of their age).
Cons - The price - $361/week for infants - age 2
The director tends to be overly cautious about illness. My DD had mosquito bites and I had to take her to the Dr. 2x because the director thought they "could" be something else, despite the fact that they looked like bites.
Some of the floaters that are in the room after DD's regular teachers leave are eh (This is around 4:30 - until I pick her up at 5:30).
