My doppler came today and...

I'm absolutely terrified to use it! Even though we've had plenty of u/s's and seen the heartbeat lots, I am so nervous! I'll have to youtube some clips on what to listen for since I've yet to hear it, but especially after spotting the other day, I'm afraid it won't be there. Blech.

    I love our doppler!!!  If they have already used it on you in the office, then you probably have a good idea of where to start out with it on your belly.  I know that helped me when we first started using it because I would have not gone down as low as I needed to at first!  Just don't freak out if you don't find it at first...You'll know it when you hear it though!  Big Smile  Good luck!!

    It took 44 cycles, just over 3 years, 6 failed IUI's in MI, and 1 round of IVF at CCRM to get our BFP!
    Beta #1 (9dp5dt) = 206, Beta #2 (11dp5dt) = 438
    1st u/s @ 6w5d = 11/11/11 = ONE little bean! HB 120bpm!

    To me, it always sounds like the sound of a train going by on the tracks in the distance.  Other people describe it as the sound of horses galloping.  Good luck!

    Having a Doppler has given me so much peace. Watching the clips will give you lots of pointers. Have fun!

    Oh you will love it. I understand being scared. It brings me such peace of mind though. Check out YouTube for good videos, but it shouldn't be hard to find at this stage. Hugs.

    We also find it easier to find while wearing headphones. I had an awful dream the other night, and insisted on finding the heartbeat the next morning, it's become quite relieving :)

    I got mine last week!  The first time I found it difficult to find the hbs.  I put it away and told myself I wouldn't try for another couple of days.

    When I pulled it out again I had a bit more patience and found both babies - it was pretty awesome.

    Yay - glad you were able to hear it!  I absolutely love my doppler, it gives me such peace of mind.  I can't imagine not having it.  I've heard it's easier to find the hb with a semi-full bladder.  But now that I've gotten the hang of it, I can usually find it right away every time.

    IUI#2 Femara/Ovidrel (cd 5-9) = BFN
    IUI#3 Femara/Ovidrel (cd 3-7) = BFP!
    beta #1 11/23 = 270, P4 = 75
    beta #2 11/28 = 2055
    Our daughter E was born 7/29/2012!
    Surprise, our 2nd daughter P was born 5/22/14!
