dang, I was hoping for a comment from the idiot parent. did you hear on the radio if it was on purpose or accidental (ex: mixed drink left on table, toddler drank it)?
People amaze me. I attended a class where the instructor had to tell people to brush their toddlers teeth and then had to explain to some of the other parents in the room that even though the toddlers teeth will fall out and new ones will come in, they still needed to brush them. yikes.
This is horrible! I have to confess...when I was a young child (2-3) my parents were divorced and young (19 or 20) and my dad would get me on his weekends...he would give me wine coolers to put me to sleep or keep me quiet. I am 28 years old and have yet to tell my mother. I don't remember a whole lot but I remember the margarita flavored wine coolers. I can honestly say my father was an idiot and had no idea how to take care of me (obviously!). I think it affected how my body processes alcohol too. I can't have more than 2 beers without feeling hung over or sometimes blacking out. It just doesn't make any sense, so I blame it on my father!
Believe it or not some people think its cute. My DH's cousin would let his 2 y/o daughter at the time drink out of adult cups during parties and barbeques b/c it was funny and cute. When I first met them both I was completed disgusted at his reasoning. The poor little girl would throw major tantrums when responsible people refused to give her their cups. The dad would always say its ok for her to drink the left overs..she likes it. Drives me mad to this day!

My ex husbands ex brother in law (get that? haha) would let his 2 daughters drink out of his beer, to the point when they were old enough to comprehend and talk, whenever they asked for something to drink... they always wanted the "brown bottle" when we asked what they wanted....
just sickens me

If this was intentional, I think mom should be sterilized!
I got smashed at a family reunion with my dad at about the same age. People left their drinks sitting around and I was thirsty...my father didn't pay attention. My mom was LIVID!

I had a small get together at my house when my olderst was 2 years old. I was 19 at the time. My friend's loser boyfriend put hunch punch in my son's sippy cup without telling anyone. At one point, DS told me his koolaid tasted bad. I thought maybe the ice had melted and it was watered down or that maybe I hadn't put enough sugar in the mix. Thankfully he didn't drink much of it. I didn't discover what had happened until after everyone went home and I was washing the dishes.

my mom always gave us beers as kids( mind you she is a drug addict) Some people just don't think. Or think oh its just 'A' beer and won't do anything so no harm done. Not realizing age, weight, sex and other factors can cause someone to be actually drunk off a smaller quantity than you.

I called my friend right away and she confirmed it with the boyfriend. I told her he wasnt allowed at my house any more and I didn't want to see him when she and I hung out. I had a few choice words that I asked her to deliver to the guy. They broke up shortly there after, and not just for that reason. He really was a jerk in alot of ways. She has a son the same age as mine, so she was really upset about it too.

I am not sure if it was intentional or not... but I know that when they arrested her, she was pretty blitzed herself...
I swear... some people just amaze me, those are the people that should just keep their legs shut!!!
