We are 25 weeks and counting...but have not completed the baby registry yet. We are trying to wait to find out the sex of the baby before picking out items (the dr. is making us wait until the 7th month for our second), but the family keeps asking us when we are going to have our registry together.
Should our registry already be complete by now? Are there other neutral colors that would look good for a nursery besides yellow, green, and brown?
Re: Running out of time
have you tried babysupermall.com?
they have some good neutral colors that are cute.
I don't think you really must have your registry complete until invitations for your shower are sent out. So it depends on when your shower is. We didn't have our registry done anywhere close to 25 weeks.
I highly recommend not telling others the sex of the baby so that you get more practical stuff. DH and I don't know the sex and we got much more practical stuff -- and gift cards -- than most people who end up with a boatload of unneeded cute outfits. We still have a few really cute outfits that are neutral, so the baby won't be dressed in just plain onesies all the time.
I think blue is a perfectly acceptable color for a nursery for a girl or a boy. Red and orange are great for both too. In fact, the only colors I wouldn't consider gender-neutral in a nursery would be pink and purple. Our nursery is green, orange, and blue, which seems to be a really popular color combination right now. Check these nurseries out:

You can always add accent pieces (art, toys, pillows, etc.) that are more masculine or feminine after you find out the sex, but make the "bones" of the room more gender-neutral.
Good luck!
