Trying to Get Pregnant

Impatient!

I know we are all in the same boat ladies, but is it just me or do the days seem to be going by slower and slower now that we are TTC?!

My husband and I have decided to try for a baby....I went off the pill at the start of this month and am waiting for my ovulation....tick tock, tick tock!

How many of you feel its good to see an OB/GYN right away after you decide to try for a baby?   I'm still on the fence.

Re: Impatient!

  • Welcome! It's definitely hard to be patient some days. Have your read the newbie link at the top of the board? Lots of good info. Many of the ladies on here chart using Fertility Friend; it helps you figure out your cycle, especially when you ovulate. You can check it out by clicking on any of our tickers. Good luck and I hope your stay is short and sweet!

  • I saw no reason to see the dr after we decided to TTC. I had my normal yearly appointment about 5 months after we started.

I think time seems to go slower when ttc because you are always waiting for something.

I saw my obgyn for an annual and preconception appt. Which was really any questions i had, plus she looked at my af charts i kept track of and she gave advice when i shld be having sex.

GL to you, there is a newbie link and as dahlia mentioned if you click our links it will bring you to fertility friend which has free great tutorials and info.

  • Welcome! Patience is definitely not easy when TTC. You've come to the right place for lots of helpful information and a great way to pass all those days spent waiting. Most people seem to agree that unless you have other health issues going on, a TTC visit to the ob/gyn is not necessary. Basically they will tell you to eat right, get some exercise, stop smoking (if applicable), start taking pre-natal vitamins and call  when you're pregnant.
  • Time is actually moving quicker for us. I feel like it was just yesterday when we decided to start TTC. It has already been 4 cycles (not complaining though!). I can't believe time flew by so quickly.

I had an annual exam and spoke with my doctor then. She recommended charting, OPKs, and taking PNV.

  • Welcome to the board!  I feel like the cycles themselves go slow at times, especially when you're waiting to O or waiting out the 2WW.  Good luck to you!
