We need to buy a mattress for Callie. The one we bought for T, we love but it was from a small family owned company-Pixel Organics, and they are no longer in business. They were a great quality company I think they just didn't do enough marketing. We're leaning towards one of the 2 sided (one side infant the other for toddler) Naturepedic ones but I have mixed feelings on them. They are wrapped in plastic, even though they say it's food grade it still makes me leary and this two sided one doesn't have springs in it so that makes me a little nervous. Many foams especially memory foam is pretty bad stuff chemical wise and they don't give a real clear description on what theirs is made of.
So my questions are do you have one? If so what one do you have and why did you chose it? Are you happy with it? TIA!
Re: Organic Crib Mattresses?
This is the two sided organic mattress we bought DD. It has springs. I finally flipped it to the toddler side (18m+) around 21 months and it seems to be holding up fin.

We got an organic crib mattress for DD. I think I had a coupon on it that made it the same price as non-organics. I just couldn't bear the thought of the off gassing and chemicals. I also got an organic mattress pad which was really nice.
My only thing is I didn't want it to be too bouncy (like to encourage bouncing/jumping) but it had to feel comfy. I mean for about 2 years use I didn't want to spend a small fortune. We converted the crib to a full size bed, didn't do the toddler bed thing.
