Activities for this summer

What do you plan on doing with LO this summer, swimming, museum, zoo visits, what is everyone planning on doing to keep their LO's entertained?

Re: Activities for this summer

  • Going to the park, swimming, zoo, wildlife preserve, lots of walks and just being outside.

  • I work full-time but I am sure my parents will take him swimming a lot if he likes it since they have an in-ground pool.  I am going to encourage DH to do some fun-organized type stuff with him on days they are home.  Our church does 3-4 outings for the little ones - I think this year he will be old enough to get a little something from those.

  • We want to go to the zoo again before it gets too hot and I get too pregnant. I'm also contemplating going to Sea World since DH can get us in free once a year.

It's already in the 70s here most days, so time is running out. We had a very mild winter, so I'm afraid of what summer will be like. We'll probably spend most of our time trying to stay cool.

We plan on buying a kiddie pool for the backyard so DD can spalsh around in there. We are going to wait on swim lessons until next year because I don't want to buy a maternity suit just to use it only a few times.

  • Beach, pool, parks...probably the Zoo, aquarium, Legoland, Sea World. Stuff like that.

  • We're going to the beach and our apartment complex has a really nice pool but I don't know how often I'll feel like dragging E down there by myself.  If I can find a zoo near here I would like to go just go get out for a day.  Once the baby comes though I don't know if we'll really do much of anything.  There's not really anywhere to walk around here unless I load up the car and drive somewhere and that just seems like a big hassle with 2U2.

  • We're doing swimming lessons, and have planned at least one trip to the aquarium.  We may head to the zoo, too... she is completely fascinated by animals all of a sudden.  We're also going to plant a small vegetable garden which I don't think she's going to be into at all, but we'll work on colors, counting, etc, and we'll have an on-hand supply of green onions so she'll be thrilled with that.

  • Maybe hit the zoo. Definitely go to the park, wading pool and farmer's market. We play in the backyard a lot and go for walks. My favorite part of summer days is walking up and down our block and chatting with all the neighbors while the kids play with their kids.

  • We have an in-ground pool and my Mom is getting a swing set so I intend to spend a lot of time in our yard, walking around our neighborhood, getting a season pass to the zoo, I joined the MOMs group and they have outings all the time including the park once per week so we'll do that, the Jersey shore and boardwalk, not sure what else....
