1 week growth spurt?

My LO was up eating every hour from about 6pm to 7am last night. Previously he was eating every two to three hours. I feel like I've read something about a growth spurt at approx 1 week of age, but can't remember for sure. Does this sound like a possibility? For moms who have seen this before, how long does it last? Im EBFing, so when he eats every hour, I'm the mechanism!

    My DS did this around 5 days. It lasted about a day and a half, and now he's back to every 2 to3 hours, sometimes 4 at night.

    Thank you for this post!  My little guy started eating like crazy right around one week - about 4 oz per feeding and wanted to cluster feed from about 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.  I couldn't believe how much he was eating.  He gained 10 oz!  Now, he is slowing down again and eating anywhere from 2-4 oz. per meal (I am EPing).  So good to hear that other babies around the same age were doing this!!

    DD did this at 8 days.  After a day or so, she went back to her normal eatting habits.  At our two week check up, she had grown at least an inch in lenght and almost a pound from her discharge weight.

    OMG I could've written this post myself! Yesterday LO was feeding like crazy and I would say more often today as well, but yesterday felt like every hour he wanted to eat.  DH adn I chalked it up to the growth spurt as well.  BTW I EBF so I feel your sleepiness!Sleep
