Believe me, it wasn't easy. I'm still learning how to sew from patterns. I chose a pattern that I liked. Then had to figure out how to cut the right pieces out of his uniform to get what I needed. I also had to carefully unstitch the pockets and velcro that I wanted to use so that I could sew them back on. I ordered the custom name tags online. They are navy blue instead of black stitching.
Cute idea! I bet you could sell these for a pretty penny on Etsy, if you wanted to keep making them! Just get the buyers to send you the old uniforms. Great job!
If you ever start selling them I would buy one! My hubby is in the marines and he doesn't like me having a lot of "moto" stuff but I could get away with this hehe!
