adoption tax credit - copies of doc OK?

We are doing our tazes tomorrow, I know what I need to bring.  But, I just need to know if copies of required docs are OK.

I only have ONE original of the adoption decree, so I really don't want to send the original.

    I'm pretty sure our tax lady just made a copy of the original to send in

    I was just looking online to see what we needed for this year's taxes and came across this:

    It says that you should not send originals to them.  Only copies.

    Our adoption was finalized January 2012!

    For my taxes they only needed copies but make sure when you make the copies that you make a copy of the official seal on it, also you will need copies of any adoption subsidy agreement you may have, if you did domestic infant adoption thru birth mom, then this prob doesn't affect you, also you will need DOB and SS number of the child, and of course anything else you include in your regular taxes,
