Cervix pressure when walking

Starting about two weeks ago I noticed a lot of pressure on my cervix when I was out for my daily walk.  At first it only seemed to happen when I was walking up steep hills, but now this week I feel it often when I walk, even just around the house.  It's not super painful, but enough to make me need to really slow down, or to stop walking for a moment (when I stand still I don't feel it).   I have an OB appt this Fri so will ask then, but has anyone else experienced this?

  • Yep and OB said it was normal!
  • I have lots of pressure too! It has gotten alot more intense the last few days. I tried to stay off my feet yesterday and it helped a little. I was told mine was fom all the hormones relaxing everything and baby being low.

  • Yeah I've had it for a couple of days now. At the OB on Friday he said my cervix was softening and moving to the front, so I'm assuming it is from that and the head starting to engage. It's not super painful but more the UGH feeling.

Yea exactly - not super painful, just almost like a dull headache you wish would go away.   Glad I am not the only one!

  • Yes!!!!!  My DD has been head down since the end of December.  Only recently have I noticed immense pressure at times and have even wondered if she was trying to make her way out somehow (LOL).  The feeling sure does stop me in my tracks at time!

  • The cervical pain you feel are known as "crotch lightening".  They explain about them in the What To Expect When You Are Expecting Book if you have it.
