sleeping sack?

I'm getting ready to move LO to her crib and am looking at getting a sleepsack, bc she moves around so much and kicks off her blanket, but it can get pretty cold in her room.

anyone use these? I was looking online (amazon) and there is just so many to choose from. any suggestions?

Re: sleeping sack?

  • DD sleeps in one every night. I've never used a blanket in her in the crib. We have long sleeve Carters sleep sacks (0-9 mos. size available), and the ones from BRU... Summer brand I think? The Halo Sleep Sack is good. Those are sleeveless.

  • I have the summer infant slumber sack as they fit DD better than Halo.  They are sleeveless.  I just ordered a grobag as well.
  • I found DD's two long-sleeved fleece sleep sacks at TJ Maxx for about $6 each.  I've never heard of the brand before, and I don't remember what it is, but we love them.  She also has one or two Halo sleeveless ones, but I always feel like her little arms won't be warm enough in those, so they're just back-ups for when both long sleeved ones are in the wash.

  • We use sleep sacks a lot, and I've picked them up mostly from consignment stores for a few bucks each. Nothing beats them for night-time diaper changing!

  • We use Bambino - they use bamboo, theoretically making them more breathable and warmer in winter/cooler in summer.  They aren't cheap, but are really good quality so you don't have to replace them often at all.
