Some questions on Baby Food

I am sure this has been asked before but maybe you gals can answer some of these questions Smile

1. What do you use to puree your baby food?

2. Do you recommend getting a food processor or the baby bullet or can you do it yourself by hand?

3. Do you give your baby fresh baby food or do you use Gerber/Beechnut baby food or both?

 Thanks Big Smile

Re: Some questions on Baby Food

  • We use the blender. I recommend using something u already own. We do a combo of store bought and homemade. There's not a good enough produce around us for variety.

    1. What do you use to puree your baby food? I have a cuisinart that I am loving right now! Also, my stove if the food (aka carrots) are too hard to be pureed without cooking first.

    2. Do you recommend getting a food processor or the baby bullet or can you do it yourself by hand? I'm perfectly happy with my cuisinart. My neighbor loves her Baby Brezza, but it recently broke. I don't see that happening (fingers crossed!) with the processor.

    3. Do you give your baby fresh baby food or do you use Gerber/Beechnut baby food or both? Only fresh right now.

     Thanks Big Smile

    1. What do you use to puree your baby food? We have a Magic Bullet and it works great.

    2. Do you recommend getting a food processor or the baby bullet or can you do it yourself by hand? If you have a blender, it will do but according to the book I'm using per my pedi, Super Baby Foods, it says the consistency of the food can start getting thicker so if you bake/steam the veggies/fruits long enough they will easily mash by hand. I also use wholesomebabyfood.com as a resource for recipes.

    3. Do you give your baby fresh baby food or do you use Gerber/Beechnut baby food or both?  I have made all of it myself so far. Just peel (if needed), bake and pur?e.

     Thanks Big Smile

  • I use a hand immersion blender that I already had.  It is great and super easy to clean.

    1. What do you use to puree your baby food? Baby bullet.

    2. Do you recommend getting a food processor or the baby bullet or can you do it yourself by hand? We had a gift card, otherwise we probably would have used our small food processor.

    3. Do you give your baby fresh baby food or do you use Gerber/Beechnut baby food or both? We've only done fresh so far.  I think once we get to meats we will buy those. I'm nervous about getting those pureed enough.
