Austin Babies

CD recs please

I know this has been asked before, and I wish I had bookmarked that last time it was asked here.  I tried to find it, but no luck.

Please tell me what your favorite brand(s) of pocket diapers are.

I am looking for one size pockets.  I want to try something different with Tiny.

TIA

Re: CD recs please

  • I've only tried flips, bg, and fuzzivunz. Love fuzzivunz and have built up that stash for the boys.

  • We love the Bumgenius (for their stretchy tabs) and the Rumparoozs (for their cute prints and double gussets). Bumgenius with a hemp doubler are our overnight diapers. We also like Oh Katy and Apple Bottoms. Fuzzibunz were just ok for us. We tried the one size and the perfect size but we've had leaks with both. It's hard for us to get a good fit around his chunky legs. Some people love Sunbabies but ours were poorly constructed and wicked through the legs.
  • Whoops, wrong account!
  • We mostly use Sunbabies.  They're super cheap ($108 for 24 shipped) but they are made and shipped from China.

  • BG 4.0 and Blueberries are my faves.  DD has a long torso and skinny legs and those seem to work the best on her.  Sometimes Blueberries are on Zulily or BabySteals.

  • I have Rumparooz, Happy Heiny, Thirsties, Fuzzibuns, Kickernappies, BG, Imagine (Nickisdiapers.com) and Kawaii.

If I had to restash all over again, I'd just go with the Kawaiis. Their pocket stops abut an inch from the top of the front so you get a better fit around the waist without worrying about the insert getting up there and bulking it out and having leaks. They are very economical and the velcro is standing up very well in our dryer.

Imagine is also a basic pocket that I got for about $10 each and they are awesome as well, but the insert goes all the way up the front and I would prefer it not do that.

All that being said, I'd ditch all the microfiber inserts and just stick with hemp and/or bamboo. They don't hold as much stink and absorb more with less bulk.

If I had a million $$ to restash, I'd be all up on some of the new BG AIOs. I have one (Albert print) and I love it, but they are pricy.
