If you are serving cake for your LO's first birthday - what are you making? A special one for LO and a regular one for everyone else or just giving LO some of a regular cake. I was thinking of doing carrot cake, what about you?

Re: Cake - anything special?
I am making him a vanilla cake with buttercream icing. He will have his own double layer 6" cake. Our guests will have homemade chocolate and/or vanilla cupcakes with buttercream icing. YUM!

I know I'm in the weird on this one but I honestly can't see giving her chocolate any time in the near future. I'm not a big fan of it - I hate chocolate cake - so the thought her eating it disgusts me.
If you're making LO their own cake, it could still be carrot. You could do something else for everyone else.
