We're still in the infant. I will miss being able to just unhook the car seat and throw it in the stroller or bring her in the house sleeping once we switch over. It'll be a LONG time before she hits the weight maximum, but not much longer for height. I really should measure her actually. She was 27" at her 6 month appt and her seat is only good till 30".
Reed has been in a convertible for a while now. I think since October! He's a big boy though. He hadn't met the height/weight limits on his infant seat, but it was getting so hard for me take the seat in and out of the car. I know we could have just left the seat in the car, but I figured he would be more comfortable in the convertible at that point anyway.
The convertible is in MHs car and the infant is in mine. One she outgrows the infant we will get another convertible for mine.
This exactly, except I forgot about DH's car so I clicked "infant". Sorry to mess up the stats--I should be a "SS" lol.
haha this is us too! Except reversed, infant seat is in DH's car, convertible is in mine. I voted Convertible since we actually have both convertibles, we just haven't gotten around to installing the second one. And we treat the infant seat like a convertible, we never bring it inside with us.
The only rush to switch for us was that one of us does dropoff and one does pickup. Having to take that infant seat inside and leave it and then me having to go get it out of the storage closet and bang my knees all the way to the car was annoying!
Ev's been in a convertible for a while now in DH's car (which he rides in most of the time), and we just got a second convertible for my car at the beginning of the year. He's really tall though. At his 6 month appointment he was only around 2 inches away from the height limit on his infant seat so I'm sure he's passed that mark now. He was looking very cramped in the infant seat by the time we got the second convertible.
Lo reached the height limit a little over a month ago so we moved him to CS i still havent found one for my car though so we have been taking the truck everywhere.
convertable in my car, infant in DH's (I do most of the driving to/from daycare if not all, and we use my car most of the time). DS still fits in the infant, and I'm waiting for a sale.
I voted infant since that what he is in right now, but after the convertible gets delivered this week he will be in that. He went to the doctor this past week and I found out he is a tall boy and has actually already outgrown the max height for the infant. whoops

We don't have much time left in the infant seat, but I'm holding out as long as I can because I really don't want to figure out the switch in the winter!

Yep, this. The second convertible is waiting for us at UPS will be picked up today. We only got one at first to make sure it fit in DHs Corolla. I've just been leaving the infant seat in my car so I'm basically using it as a convertible. He's not quite grown out of the infant seat, but he's pretty close, and my DH decided he didn't want to carry him in the seat anymore because it's so heavy.
Re: Clicky: Infant or Convertible CS?
Sorry to be the annoying ss.

this exactly, except the other way around: convertible in my car, infant car seat in DH's car.
