C-section ladies - belly binder question

Hi ladies,

After my c-section, the nurses gave me a Velcro belly binder to wear, but I left without finding out how long I need to wear it. I admit I like the extra support, but it kind of gets in my way. Does anyone know how long we are supposed to wear these?

I wore mine until felt comfortable bending without feeling like my incision was being pulled, maybe 10 days?

My doctor said it is there to provide me added comfort. She said take it off whenever I want. I am 11 days and am going to take it off today and see how it feels.

I wore mine for 3 or 4 days. They had me take it off at night at the hospital so I could "breathe" they said. They wanted me to treat it like a band-aid so air could get to it? I have only used it once at home though. I feel a bit more "normal" when I have it off.

I only wore mine for about 3 days. There are times I think about putting it back on (I'm 5 days post-op right now), but I also felt like it was getting in my way.
