DS has been strictly breast feeding (he's 10 months now). Whenever I have to leave him I leave him bottles of pumped breast milk but he only takes an ounce or two and pretty much just waits it out until I get back. I'm wanting to be completely done nursing at 12 months and have thought about going to straight sippy cup usage with cows milk. I offer a sippy with water in it but he can't figure out how to tip it up. If I tip it for him he will take a few sips but isn't really a big fan. Did anyone go from only breastfeeding to sippy cup? Can you give me any help? Thanks.
Re: Weaning: Only breast to only sippy?
We had really good luck with the straw sippy cups or just a straw in a cup. We didn't have to even really teach him how to drink out of the straw. He loves them and the fact that you don't need to tip them up to drink out of them.
This is the kind we use and they have held up well: https://www.amazon.com/Munchkin-Mighty-Spill-Proof-Straw/dp/B001D7JOCY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1329751848&sr=8-3
