I can't find the picture online for some reason but it's a construction theme with dump trucks and tools. I love it because it's not too babyish in the sense that he can grow into it as a toddler.
We're not really doing a theme. My mom is making poppyseed a quilt with pinks and greens and browns and we're just going with solid pink and sage green sheets.

I searched and searched and could find anything that was bright enough and fit my taste. I ended up ordering about $100 worth of designer fabric from fabric.com
It suppose to arrive tomorrow and then I will get busy making it
This allowed me to be able to make a matching cushion for the rocking chair and I love that it doesn't look like the pink fairy came and threw up all over the nursery!!

This is the crib sheet we're starting with (we'll get another in a different design to mix it up when one is being washed) -- from the Simply Shabby Chic line at Target:
Don't have a crib skirt yet, but it'll probably be one of these two from Pottery Barn:

We did the Olivia bedding set from BRU and when I got it on my crib, the skirt didn't fit at all and neither did one of the crib sheets (it came with two). So I am returning it to BRU via mail (they even sent me the labels because it's defective) and I ordered a white skirt from Amazon and that way, I can use whatever sheet and eventually, when she gets bigger, whatever blanket, I'd like. We are doing like a small theme in the room of butterflies and I'm currently debating if I should do butterfly sheers from PBK or these cute little white valances with green stars from Land of Nod. the room is pink with white trim/moulding, but the glider/ottoman are white & mint so I thought it would be nice to pull the green into the room in another way, such as the valance. The nice part about the butterfly sheers is that they are green and pink butterflies. Decisions, decisions!

Good to know! I wonder if there is an easy way to adjust the length once the mattress gets dropped down? I might have to rig it up with safety pins.
Connor's crib has a built in drawer underneath so I never bought a crib skirt for him, I just bought some fabric from Etsy and draped it under the mattress because you couldn't see the unfinished edge anyway. Once we dropped the mattress, there wasn't room for a skirt anyway. Claire's crib definitely needs one though (Ikea crib).

Our theme is preppy whale, but I had crib sheets, changing pad covers and a minky blanket made for me with fabrics that I picked:

I am also doing window cornices made from the whale fabric.

We have the scalloped one from PBK. Warning, it is REALLY long and her mattress is set at the highest it can go. I LOVE it though. You can't tell in the picture, but along the scallop at the bottom is a pink edging. It's perfect for our daughter's nursery. Perfect for us. NOT PINK lol. but still girly and the red and black goes good with my sons spiderman theme.
We're doing this one! It will flow with my "Up" ballon theme.
