I know it is early in all this, but when getting my betas back and speaking with my clinic they said they would have me until about 10 weeks. Is this the norm/average?
I was not undergoing treatment when I got my BFP, but since my RE is my main doctor right now, I guess they want me under their care. I have no problems with this
The more care, the better! Any thoughts?
Re: How long before graduating from RE?
congrats
My RE kept me on until about 10-11 weeks, since i was on additional estrogen/progesterone support that they monitored. I had my first ob appt. at 11 weeks.
good luck!

June 2012: DD#1 born after countless fertility cycles, our 4 year old miracle
TTC #2: current cycle: 225iu Menopur for 4 weeks, Ovidrel Trigger= BFP! Beta #1; 333, Beta #2 713! 1st u/s showed TWINS (7/18)
I had my last u/s at 10 weeks, then was monitored and weaned off meds until 12 weeks and had my first OB appt. at 13 weeks!

IVF #1 with ICSI - ER 1/20 (16R, 12M, 10F), ET 1/23 (1-10 cell and 1-8cell transferred), BFP on 1/31 Beta #1 on 2/3 = 68, Beta #2 on 2/6 = 261 EDD 10/12/12
Exactly this! I graduated at 10 weeks, and was really excited. But it's somewhat of a shock to go from such detailed treatment and care, to no longer being special. Not that I'm complaining, it's just a shock.
IUI#2 Femara/Ovidrel (cd 5-9) = BFN
IUI#3 Femara/Ovidrel (cd 3-7) = BFP!
beta #1 11/23 = 270, P4 = 75
beta #2 11/28 = 2055
Our daughter E was born 7/29/2012!
Surprise, our 2nd daughter P was born 5/22/14!
I stayed until we'd seen the hb twice - for me, my last RE appt was about 9w4d then they had me make an Ob appt. They just told me to keep on the progesterone/estrogen until 12 weeks.
I got in to the OB within 2 weeks but now I'm on their standard 4 week appt schedule - that's kind of a bummer
Exactly this!
IVF 1 April 2011 - Cancelled
IVF 1.5 July 2011 - MC
IVF 2 October 2011 - BFP!

Thank you!! I have my first u/s around 7wks.
Wonderful thank you!!!
Thanks to both of you!! I agree with the bolded parts! I feel totally taken care of now, whereas with my OB I can already tell that I will be "just another PG patient".
