P.ampers Cruis.ers vs Baby. Dry???

We've always used Cruisers with DS - not for any real reason, but I heard something at the time about Baby. Dry irritating some babies - but I just got on amazon to order diapers for DD (first time out of Swaddlers) and the Baby. Dry are a lot cheaper! (Basically 30 more diapers for the same price.)

Anyone know what the differences are between these 2?

We got a pack of baby dry at my shower for Luke (he's 11 weeks old now) and I hated them...they were not nearly as absorbent as the swaddlers or cruisers- but he's still a newborn so he has pretty watery poop and goes a lot

They didn't irritate him, but he definitely was not as dry. We're a pampers cruisers family and I hate that they're so expensive...but I love that they don't bother/irritate them.

I'm the opposite of pp, for us, the baby dry are were more absorbent. DD gets red with a lot of other diapers but she has never been red with baby dry. We went from swaddlers to baby dry. We have tried cruisers (not bad just not worth the extra cost IMO), huggies and traget diapers but, we always went back to baby dry.

We tried pbd once, but just feeling the inside of a pbd diaper versus cruisers, it felt a lot rougher. Cruisers just felt softer, so we stuck with those. Nothing more scientific than that.

Don't the cruisers have more elastic or stretch? I love the cruisers and the swaddlers, never used anything else, I do think the cruisers are thinner too.

I don't like them. I too tried them because they were cheaper but it is very obvious why they are. They remind me of Lu.vs. They are made from a material that makes a weird swishy sound and does not hold up well. Worth the money to just get Cruisers. And as pp said, the tabs are much more elastic. The tabs on baby dry remind me of the Hugg.ies ones. Again, not worth the price different for us. But hey, you could always try a small package and see how it goes!

I used baby.dri as our night diaper early on. We used HUGGI.ES during the day. I use Luvs now. Every parent/kid is sooooo different when it comes to diapers.

In my experience, Baby Dry diapers work just as well, and they are pretty soft compared to other brands. Cruisers are just SO much softer than BD than I go ahead and pay more for them. But honestly, we never had any issues with chafing or diaper rash with BD the few times I tried them. And once I have 2 kids, the diaper budget might need another look so we may well try Baby Dry again.

We used both but the Cruisers were irritating on my daughter so we switched to Baby Dry and have never looked back. They work perfectly for us.

We put DS in Cruisers and DD in Baby Dry. The only reason is that the Cruisers are cut larger (they are longer and wider. DD has a much smaller bottom and teeny waist, so the cut is better for her. We've had no issues with them.
