I have never bought them before but I was thinking about getting a box to serve at DS2s 1st birthday party for any kids who might not like pizza. I mean it's not like there's a lot of work involved, right? You just thaw & serve? Are they any good (they look effing amazing when I see them at the store haha)?
Re: Does anyone give their kids Uncrustables?
i wouldn't buy anything for kids who don't like pizza... MOST kids do- and if some kid doesn't like it- their parents are certainly used to dealing with that and will likely give them something before/after the party.
also- dealing with nut allergies - I try not to have nutty stuff at parties b/c you just never know.
i got them once for my boys and none of them would eat them.... DH and I ended up eating them - and liked them, lol
I'm in this camp.
If you're serving pizza that's fine.
If you're serving some apps too (veggies, fruit, goldfish or other finger foods) then you're all set and a "just in case they don't like pizza" item seems unnecessary.
Then again... we're a "you eat what you're served" kinda house hold and in general think it's crazy to cater to kids being ultra picky about food so maybe I'm not the best opinion.
From my experience what happens when you give them options on 2 main items several of them will say they want both because they can't decide between the 2 and then they take 1 bite out of each thing and you end up throwing away lots of food. The extra option is over kill IMO.

You guys have a good point, and I totally agree now that I think about it. I was thinking of my niece beause she doesn't like cheese, but she takes exactly 2 bites of whatever you give her and then 'saves room for cake' so I don't know why I'm even worried. She can take her 2 bites of fruit and call it a day
My DD does not eat pizza (she's 4.5yo). She says she likes it, but then she takes one bite and is done. If I tear the crust off she'll eat that.
Still, I wouldn't expect anyone to have different options for her and it's never been a problem for us. I wouldn't serve it at a party that is for her, but at every other party it's never been a problem, especially if there's some fruit.
