After the crappy news this week, my husband and I talked again about getting a pet. We talked about it in the past and put it off, said we would when we get a house, etc. Over breakfast yesterday, we decided our house needs something other than just us - and decided to adopt two kitties. After 5 trips to adoption places, we found our two.
Gadget is a 1.5yr old brown tabby.. walked right up to us and purred. My husband looked at me and went "yep, I want him."
Gizmo is a 3 year old Tortie.. quiet girl at first but loves to play. We were standing by her cage and she laid down so she could stretch her paw all the way out and hit me.

Soooo cute Shay!
They both love me more, lol.. but I played with them while my husband went back to get their scratching tower so they had more time to spend with me. Gizmo gravitates more towards me a lot for sure, but Gadget will love on anyone who will pet him.
At every place we went to, kitties were the first to go and the cats were all left behind. It was sad! Definitely made me want to save a 1+ yr old cat.
Thanks all
I am in love with them already, they will definitely brighten my life a bit.

How fun! I lol at the picture of Gadget, he looks like your typical "Hello human, what can you do for me now?" cat!
Have a blast with them!!
Thats so great! We are loaded down with animals at our house and it is so worth it to have that companionship. It's especially great of you to adopt grown cats because they are so in need of good homes. Good for you and welcome home Gadget and Gizmo!
