Prayers for Baby Please

First of all, we welcomed our little snowflake on February 3, 2012. We were Team Green, but we are now Team Pink. Rylan Patricia is a joyful addition to our family and I thank God every day that we have her in our life.

Rylan was having some issues with gagging and her lips and extremities turning blue while she was in te hospital. She also lost a little too much weight because she wasn't doing to well with nursing. The docs assured me all was normal and they sent us home on Feb 7th. After we got home I noticed Rylan was forgetting to breathe in her sleep. She was also turning blue more often. While at her follow up at her pedi office, her doc noticed she had a very low heart rate while she was asleep (80 bpm) and she noticed the blue mouth as well. We were sent for a stat EKG, which was normal and told we would need an apnea monitor.

Long story short, after the pulmonologist heard her symptoms, she told us to go directly to Children's National Medical Center ER. That was Valentine's Day, and we are still here. Our baby is such a trooper. She has gone through just about every test in the book and she still smiles at mom and dad in her sleep. The docs thankfully ruled out anything wrong with her heart, but now they are taking a closer look at her brain. She has a posterior tongue tie, which could be causing all of her symptoms. The docs also think it could be apnea, they just aren't sure if it is central, obstructive, or both,

I have already asked family and friends for prayers, but I figure the more we have, the louder we will be. We just want our little girl to come home soon, healthy and happy. Even if she has to use a c-pap machine or oxygen when she sleeps, I am ok with that. They definitely didn't go over what to do when your baby goes to NICU in childbirth class. This has been hard, but if my precious snowflake can get stuck a billion times and be so strong, so can I.

I will try to update if we find out anything new, but my internet is limited, and I don't like to be away from her for long periods of time. Thank you ladies in advance.

So scary. My three day old daughter is currently in the NICU as well with pulmonary/respiratory issues, and it has been the most gut wrenchingly scary and awful thing I've ever gone through.

Prayers for Rylan and you guys. We are still in the hospital getting tests run on our daughter too. It's hell watching your child get poked and prodded at. Just wanted to send you hugs and prayers.
