Stranger anxiety?

Today DD cried every time my SIL or my mom held her.  It was at different times during the day and she was really crying, tears and everything.  As soon as DH or I took her she was fine.  Anyone else experience this?

    My LO started this a few weeks ago and would cry whenever g'ma/poppy would hold her. She's a little better now, thankfully! I was working a lot and not with her as much when it started so I think that had something to do with it for her.

    Yes, I think we're starting to go through this as well.  The other morning when I dropped her off at day care there was a teacher in from one of the other classrooms, she took DD and DD just started crying.  She usually never cries when I drop her off. :'(

    And she cried at my dad last weekend, wouldn't let him hold her.

    Yes, DD used to cry at ANYONE other than me who held/looked/talked to her. Including DH. Now, she is fine with DH, and smiles/get held by women. However, she still doesn't like men. Any time a man talks to her or holds her she cries. I think it's a phase they go through.

    Yes, my DD freaks out when my MIL tries to hold her. Poor grandma!

    We have been going through a little of this as well.  He doesn't like it when my stepmom holds him sometimes.  The other day my SIL tried to hold him and he started to freak out when I went to walk outside.  I think it is just their age and seems to be pretty common.  Hoping it's just a phase.
